Ice Skaters

The kids went ice skating the other night and I snapped a few cute pictures of them. They haven't ice skated in about 3 years, so needless to say, they were a bit shakey on the ice. Actually, I don't know if they were ever steady on the ice in the first place...Mallorie especially.
Hannah had a bit more confidence on the ice, so she gave Mallorie a helping hand. We were so proud of that. She held her sister's hand and wasn't mean to her at all.
This doesn't happen very often.
They both fell several times and ended up with a few bruises. Hannah fell and hit her cheek once and left a nice bruise. Mallorie got her knee pretty good. So sad..
But all in all they had a blast. They both want to take lessons and it does sound like a lot of fun. We'll have to see.
Well, it's Monday and it's off to another week of school and work. Miss Ava went to bed on her own again. Later than I had hoped, but that was my fault, I lost track of time. The girls and I have been reading this hilarious book and we just can't seem to put it down. Anyway, back to Ava. She woke up once Saturday night and in my sleep/wake state of checking on her, I just got her out of bed and let her go back to sleep with me. Last night she woke up several times while I was still awake. I put her back down and turned on her sleep sheep again. I know she isn't hungry, but it's killing me not to pick her up and just love on her. BUT I know it will be better for all of us in the long run. I'm working on it. The only thing we don't have down is the nap time in her own bed, but like I told Rusty, it's one step at a time. I will get her there.
I hope you have a nice Monday. It's rainy and windy here tonight so I hope it's cleared out by the time school starts!
~Blessings~
