123

What a special day.
It's post 123 day. Amazing.
It's amazing that I have that much to say.
It's also amazing that more than just my parents read this blog, ha. It's only like four others, but I'm just pleased that anyone reads my ramblings.

I wish I had give-a-ways or something fun to post. I don't.

What I do have is just silly stories, heartfelt stories and stresses that I like to write about.

This is what has been going on in our world these past few days:

My mom is due to arrive tomorrow. I told the girls they had to get their room clean because MiMi would be here tomorrow and Mallorie couldn't believe it. She's so excited. Hannah too, she just doesn't vocalize like Mallorie does.

Hannah talked to my sister on the phone this evening. She asked if she could go live with her. Does she care nothing about my feelings?? So I sent her to church. Hopefully she'll learn that whole commandment about honoring thy mother and father. Not Aunt. Whatever. I thought the teenage years would be the bad ones, but so far this year alone she's said 1) Rusty is her favorite 2) She wants to live with my sister 3) I am the meanest Mom she's ever met. The third one I have to disagree with because if you heard our neighbor screaming at her kids, you'd think I was the nicest mom on the planet. In her defense however, I will say that she told me I wasn't fat. That alone, covered all the other mean things she has ever said to me. It's a total lie, but one that I can appreciate.

Mallorie said I was mean as well because I didn't let her go with Hannah to church, but once I told her she could make cookies and mix the dough with her hands she was very happy. She loves to cook, so tonight was so much fun. Oh, and please don't think I was keeping her from going to church because I was being mean, but Hannah needs some time away from little sisters and I want her to have some freedom from that. Also, I want Hannah to have some chances to prove that she is going to be good when we aren't with her. She had a lot of fun from what I hear and some of her school friends were there.

I took pictures of our little garden today, but I'm too lazy to upload the pictures right now. It's growing so big. I have been so happy with the results of our squash. First of all, they're huge. At the grocery store, they are so wimpy and they charge you too much. Growing our own has been such a treat. They're so big, that just one is enough for all of us. I used one in place of meat the other day in our spaghetti and even Rusty couldn't quit eating it. We also had leftovers that we all had for lunch the next day. The zucchini we are growing is huge!! We also have pumpkins growing. They have started flowering which means we will soon have pumpkins. We planted them too late to get them by Halloween sadly, but I will be excited to use one for my front porch and kitchen table for decoration for fall. I didn't realize that the plants got so big. This has been so much fun.

We are all so excited to be going to Disneyland this weekend for the girls' birthdays. I found out that Ava can go on many of the rides with us, which is awesome. It's also Halloween themed right now, so I am excited to see that. I always hear about how awesome Disney is, but we NEVER go. We live so close, but just never think about it & the fact that it's horribly expensive if you don't purchase the horribly expensive season passes. We went once a few years ago and had a great time, but now that the girls are older, I think they will even have more fun. I'll be sure and take a lot of pictures. I can't believe my girls are going to be 10 and 8. Yikes, that makes you feel old! Not that I am, but I can't believe I've been taking care of a kid that long. She's doing pretty good though.
Well, that was all random. Sorry if you're still reading this. I am thankful I don't have anything sad to write about. I'm sure I could think of something if I really tried, but I don't want to. I am in a decent mood this week. Probably because my mom is coming, but also because we sold some stuff on Craig's List tonight. I priced it higher than I thought we'd get and people paid it anyway. You can't complain about that! I also got rid of some of Ava's baby stuff. That made me feel a little sad. I didn't think it would, but it was nice to have the extra room in her nursery. By the way, now that she has all these teeth, she's grinding them. It sounds so awful! I try to stop it everytime I hear it or I put a pacifier in her mouth. I know she's just doing it because of the newness of the teeth, but I don't want it to become a habit. That and it just drives me nuts to hear that sound. Gah. I hate it.

Like I said, that was random. I didn't have much to say, just wanted to write. I hope you have a great rest of the week and I promise I'll post some pictures soon.

Poor Mom! Don't you know that she'd be crying for you after a couple of days living somewhere else! Hope you enjoyed the mama time. I will be experiencing that myself soon. :)
