Happy Easter

We had such a beautiful and wonderful Easter. I know it may seem odd to start off the post with this picture, but it just made me smile. I guess I had a spot on my lens when I shot this and it gave it a blurry spot, but her face is so wonderful and ticked! I wouldn't let her have her scooter, mean mommy.

This was one of the better pictures I caught today. Ava refuses to look at me when I have the camera out so I have to try and catch her smiles when she isn't paying attention to me. Mallorie and Ava were the only ones that hunted eggs this afternoon. Hannah isn't up to it anymore, she didn't even want to dye the eggs last night. Kind of made me sad that she feels too big, but I understand and am glad she enjoyed hiding the eggs with the Easter Dad...we don't do the bunny thing.
Ava found quite a few eggs and dug right in to her M-E-M's.
I'm telling ya, getting all three girls to look at me at the same time and sitting like ladies was pretty much impossible, but I'll take what I can get. They were in such wonderful moods so the day was so nice. It was also very toasty outside so after hunting some eggs the girls climbed into their swimsuits and hit the Slip-n-slide.
Hannah only went once, again feeling way to old compared to everyone around her so she just kind of hung out and walked around in the water. Mallorie didn't care a bit and had a ball playing and splashing around.
Ava, too. She is ready to play in the water at any time.

Rusty got our fishing poles ready today in preparations for our upcoming weekend camping trip. That's right, we are heading out soon....I hope it goes well. We're just going for one night this first time, just to see how Ava does. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

The girls are out of school tomorrow so I better get to bed, it'll be a day that I need lots of energy as we'll be playing outside most all day. I hope your day is nice and that you had a wonderful Easter celebration.

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

A wonderful post! Too bad Mimi couldn't hide Easter eggs for Ava.
Thank you for posting the scripture verse; Thankful each day for our Lord. Hugs MOM
