The final score ended up being Hannah-1, Mallorie-3, Rusty/Ava-2. Hannah caught several, they just kept getting off the hook when she got them almost to the shore. She had a lot of fun, though. Oh and somehow I caught a minnow. That counts, right?
Apparently, it is very manly to fish with a Dora the Explorer fishing pole. It did catch him a fish....
Ava did not nap first, so she didn't last too long. Thankfully she was happy to walk around the pond and look for "nakes" and turtles with Mommy holding her.
She did fish a little bit, reeling in every throw. She didn't care to much for waiting on her bobber to go under, but hey, as long as she was happy and not screaming "NO WAY" at us at the top of her lungs then we were all happy!
Mallorie surprised us all and touched a few fish. Even picking one up that fell off the line and throwing it back into the water. She had such fun!
They can't wait to go back. It's only a catch and release pond, but what great practice. I was impressed with their ability to be patient. I am so blessed to be the mom of these three girls, what a great Mother's Day, I couldn't have asked for more!
