A Little Daily Tidbit

Just posting a few pics I took around the house today. Hannah has a big dresser in her bedroom that she uses as her desk. She goes back there everyday to get her homework done. There is less stimulus to grab her attention back there and she gets her homework done pretty quickly.

Oh, long division, how I love thee....

I think it's cute to watch her do her math homework. I don't remember "getting" math quite as well as Hannah does. It's her favorite subject and I'm so thankful for that. Actually, she loves every subject, but math, science and history are her faves. She does NOT take after me in the respect!

Why, yes, this is a horrible picture that I will someday use as blackmale. It's better than the naked baby pictures! Don't you think?

This girly got piggy tails today. Her hair has been growing like crazy lately and I figured it could handle the doggy ears. My heart melts..

The back has a lot of hair too, almost enough for a ponytail, but I'm not going to push it. I know as soon as she gets that ponytail, she'll look way too old. By the way, on Thursday, Ava turns 11 months old. Her first birthday is right around the corner. I don't know how we're going to celebrate yet. Probably just something small, like a cookout or Disneyland. Hannah and Mallorie always celebrated their first birthdays in Texas with all of our family and I am so sad that Ava will not have that opportunity. We'll make it memorable. Maybe we can throw a little birthday party next time we're down there.

I let Mallorie play on the computer for a little while tonight. They love their webkinz. I wish my real life bank account looked like their Webkinz cash account! Or better yet, I wish I could make real money playing solitare and Cash Cow 2 for hours on end. I'd be so rich.

Oh, and in case you didn't notice, Hannah and Mallorie completely ignore me when I have my camera in hand. It's like I'm not even there.

I think we are going to head over to Disneyland tomorrow night and enjoy this warm winter weather before we lose it. I just know it's going to start raining eventually.
Speaking of rain, I rented and watched Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs tonight and we enjoyed it so much. Very funny movie. Rusty and I also watched the Proposal the other night and that too was a very good movie. Predictable, yes, but good anyway. We're always looking for movies to rent and enjoy at home. I am so thankful for the $1 kiosks they have now. You can rent anything and watch it and not worry that you're going to spend a fortune. I remember renting movies when we were in younger and they cost so much and if you were late returning them, yikes! The girls also watched Monsters vs. Aliens the other day, and that was also very funny. Anyway, I thought you might like to hear my movie reviews. They're so in depth. You're welcome.
I have to admit to some things. First. I may have stolen from Target today. It was just some cheep little hair rubberbands for Ava. I gave them to her to hold while we were walking through the store. I paid for my stuff and then when we got out to the car Ava threw them into the cart. Did I pay for them? I don't know. And I don't want to look at my reciept to check because I am thinking I probably didn't. If you're looking for me tomorrow, I'll be at Target returning the stupid hair rubber bands because I just can't live with myself if I keep them. Geez.
Secondly, this isn't really an admission of guilt so much as a bad parenting moment. Someone (who says that they are my friend, but aren't because they bring horribly fattening sweets to my house everytime they come over) brought over brownies to my house last night for our Mayday small group at our house. Well, today I threw the pan away and it had quite a bit of chocolate left over in the pan. I started to wash some dishes and little Miss Ava grabbed the pan out of the trash and ate the chocolate. Rusty was sitting right there and didn't even notice, so not telling how long she was eating. It wasn't all over her, so it must not have been too long. But it was funny.
I hope your week goes well. Rusty is off on Friday so I think he and I are going to run off to Disney for the day with Ava. Well, we're going to try to anyway. I love his Fridays off. Plus Monday is a holiday. Ahhhh, four day weekend, we love you.
~Blessings~
