Weekend Update

This was the scene as we left the house Friday morning before sunrise. Three sleepy girls snuggling and watching cartoons.

I know it's pathetic, but we totally let Hannah and Mallorie have coffee that morning. We were so appreciative of them not whining or complaining about us going that we just didn't care. They were so happy. And their favorite pseudo-grandma was there to babysit them, so they weren't complaining.

Friday's shopping was very fruitful and Rusty and I were very happy to get to spend a few hours alone. Even if it was in crazy busy stores and at a rediculous hour to be shopping. We haven't been on a date since before Ava was born. So it was a lot of fun.

That night we girls put up the Christmas tree and then got all of our decor out. And Saturday we went to Costco and Sams to waste more of our lives standing in lines where we found some more awesome deals on Christmas presents. I have to say that this year we have had the best luck finding Christmas presents for everybody on our list.

Well, tomorrow starts back to the grind and I am so not looking forward to it. I have enjoyed having all of this time off and having a quiet house is going to be strange. But then again, having a quiet house will be so nice for Ava, she hasn't slept well all weekend and now maybe I will be able to get her to take a long nap!

Have a wonderful Monday and I hope your week is nice. Remember, less than 4 weeks until Christmas....woohoo!!!

What a cute picture of your 3 girlies. Im sure the day out with just you and Rusty was very nice. I know Jordan and I have talked a lot about needing to do that more.
