Giving Thanks for Grouchy Babies

What a beautiful day it is today and as Thanksgiving draws nearer, we should all be thinking about all we have to be thankful for. It's not like we don't think about these things throughout the year, but it's different when we actually take the time to list and think about these things.
My list is overflowing this year. Or as I like to say, "My cup runneth over". Starting today I am listing things I am thankful for.

I am thankful for my children. They are so beautiful, well behaved, and intelligent and I am so proud of them. Especially since I am raising them and am sometimes surprised at what they are becoming.
I am thankful for the additions to our family this year. Tiana and I both had to go through a horrible and sad pregnancy last year, but this year were blessed with precious children We got to welcome Tyler and Ava into our lives and arms.
I am thankful for my husband. He has become my very best friend and I can't wait for him to return home from work everyday!
I am thankful for my husbands job. Even though I often say i want to move away from here, I have to admit that the job God provided him has been such a blessing for our family.
I am so thankful for my parents. The older I am getting, the closer we are becoming. I laugh when I think about the past and remember trying to avoid my parents and now I long to live close and talk to them on the phone all the time. Maybe it's living so far away and I just miss them so much, but I also know that they are special and I am thankful to God for giving me the parents that He gave me.
I am thankful for my sister. Her creative ideas, crazy sense of humor and loving spirit bond us so tight that nothing can pull us apart. Even though we are so different, I couldn't imagine having a better friend and confidant that her.
And since it is Veteran's day, I must mention that I am so thankful for our men and women who have and who are serving our country. Thank you for all the jobs you do, whether you fight or work behind the scenes.
Okay that's all I'm going to list for today. I am going to do this everday. If you don't want to read them because they are sappy...sorry! I just want to put these out because they are so special to me.

Now on to other stuff. Hannah and Mallorie had fun and played, did their homework and relaxed all day today. What a nice way to spend a Wednesday out of school. I am thankful for that for sure, it'll make our week seem shorter! Hannah is currently grounded for the week for lying to me, but she did get to spend a little time today playing with her friend Taylor. Mallorie helped me clean the kitchen and dining room tonight and since I had Bible study to go to, she set the table for dinner for Rusty, she and Hannah. It was complete with candle light, placecards, and little notes that said "Have a great dinner". She was a "Hostess with the Mostess"! I want to show you what Ava's been up to lately because it's just so hilarious, but since her 9 MONTH birthday is coming on Saturday, I will wait until then to post them. But let me just say this kid is so much fun!

Now, after saying all of that. I feel that I must show these pictures of what our house has been like for the past two or three days.

Tired. Aggitated. Frustrated. GROUCHY! All words to describe this irritable tiny kiddo. She just won't sleep more than 30 minutes at a time. Either some one wakes her up or she just wakes up suddenly and won't/can't go back to sleep.

I think I found the cause of our problem today though. There's a shiny new tooth that seems to have emerged today or last night. Oh how those tiny teeth must hurt because she has been absolutely horrible the past few days! I hate to say that, but she's always been so easy going and it's like somebody turned a switch inside of her and she became grouchy and irritable over night! Hopefully this will end soon. I am wondering if there might be another tooth breaking through tomorrow.

Isn't this the saddest face you've ever seen? It's breakin' my heart.

I hope you have a great rest of the week. I get to teach an art class first thing in the morning....this time not to kindergarteners, so I am very relieved! haha
